Two Drug Peddlers Arrested in Baramulla, Contraband Substances Recovered

Baramulla: In its ongoing efforts to eliminate the scourge of drugs from society, the police have apprehended two drug peddlers in Baramulla and seized contraband substances from their possession.

At a checkpoint established at Tyre Morh Uri, a police team from Police Station Uri, led by SHO PS Uri, intercepted an individual. A search revealed 42 grams of a substance resembling Charas in his possession. The arrested individual is identified as Abdul Aziz Chaneeza, son of Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Uri Baramulla. He has been taken into custody and transferred to PS Uri.

Similarly, at a checkpoint established at Beighpora Hariwatnoo Tangmarg, a police team from Police Station Tangmarg, led by SHO PS Tangmarg, intercepted another individual. Upon searching, 25 grams of a substance resembling Charas were recovered from his possession. The arrested individual is identified as Mohammad Assadullah Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Rambailpora Bawah Kunzer. He has been taken into custody and transferred to PS Tangmarg.

Cases under the relevant sections of the law have been registered at Police Station Uri and PS Tangmarg, with investigations underway.
