Srinagar: The School Education Department (SED) has decided to change the school timing for the new academic session after Eid-ul-Fitr.
The new academic session in schools will commence on Monday, April 1.
Talking to Greater Kashmir, Director School Education Kashmir Tasaduq Hussain Mir said that the timing for schools across the Kashmir division would remain the same for a few days given the prevailing weather conditions.
“New timing will be fixed after Eid-ul-Fitr,” Mir said.
The present timing of the schools is 10.30 am to 3.30 pm in schools outside Srinagar municipal limits while the timing for the schools within Srinagar municipal limits is 10 am to 3 pm.
“The timing will remain the same for a few days and the new timing for schools will be announced after Eid,” Mir said.
