Handwara: Thirteen students have lost consciousness during a self-defence event in North Kashmir’s Handwara district. The incident took place at a government school in a village of Handwara, where pepper spray was utilised.

The affected female students were soon transferred to a nearby hospital for necessary medical attention.

School authorities expressed their concerns and initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the incident. While suspicions exist regarding the involvement of some of the girls, it’s important to highlight that the investigation is ongoing, and the facts will be established through the appropriate process.

A police officer confirmed that a case has been registered in connection with the incident, and further investigations are in progress to determine the sequence of events and hold any responsible parties accountable.
