Jammu and Kashmir Set to Host Four National School Games

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir is all set to host four National School Games in which 5000 sportspersons from 35 States and Union Territories will be participating.

Talking to media persons in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, Secretary, of Youth Services and Sports (YSS), Sarmad Hafeez said on Monday said that two out of four National School Games, Volleyball and Football are being inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday.

He added that there has been unprecedented growth in sports everywhere in Jammu & Kashmir, adding that a total of 200 new playfields have come up in the Union Territory at different places.

“It is not only the Youth Services & Sports, who have come up with the playfields, but it is the work of different government departments,” he said—(KNO)
