Srinagar: In a significant endeavour, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi, in partnership with the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), is set to conduct the State Educational Achievement Survey (SEAS) for classes 3rd, 6th, and 9th, nationwide, including the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The survey, managed by the Performance Assessment, Review, and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development (PARAKH) at NCERT, aims to evaluate the learning competencies at the culmination of the foundational, preparatory, and middle stages of education.
Scheduled for November 3, this educational initiative is expected to encompass over 2.5 lakh students in Jammu and Kashmir. The primary objective of SEAS is to pinpoint areas in need of improvement in the learning process, thereby acting as a precursor to the Ministry of Education’s annual National Achievement Survey (NAS), conducted at the district level.
An official from the Jammu and Kashmir State Council of Educational Research and Training (JKSCERT) informed that the State Educational Achievement Survey (SEAS) will take place nationwide, including Jammu and Kashmir. The official further stated, “To ensure the smooth conduct of the SEAS on November 3, all the necessary arrangements have already been put in place.”
