Srinagar: The government Wednesday granted a one-time exemption to the recruiting agencies – Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission and Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board to draw up the waitlist.
As per GAD notification, the one-time exemption has been granted by the Lieutenant Governor in the exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, to the recruiting agencies namely Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission and Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board to draw up the wait lists, in respect of those select lists which have been issued after September 7, 2023, within six months.
The conditions stipulate that such wait lists are drawn within the validity period of the select list and the resultant vacancies on account of non-joining of selected candidates have not been re-advertised.
