Srinagar: As frigid weather tightens its grip on the Kashmir Valley, education authorities are actively considering the announcement of an early winter vacation for primary schools, according to officials on Monday.
A senior official from the School Education Department revealed that a decision is imminent and will be officially communicated shortly.
“We are actively considering the prospect of an early winter vacation for primary schools in light of the prevailing cold weather conditions,” the official stated.
The official further emphasised the department’s commitment to ensuring the well-being of students and staff, citing the need to prioritize safety and comfort during extreme weather conditions.
This decision comes as part of the ongoing efforts by the education department to adapt to the challenging climatic conditions that often affect the region during the winter months.
