Srinagar: Vijay Kumar on Thursday took over as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K at Armed Police Headquarters in Jammu.
On his arrival at the Armed Police Headquarters, Jammu, ADGP Kumar was warmly received by the senior Police officers including Commandants of Armed Police and IR Battalions besides officers and staff members of Armed Police Headquarters, J&K.
Kumar, a 1997 batch IPS officer of the J&K cadre, while functioning as ADGP Law and Order was given additional charge of ADGP Armed J&K by the J&K government.
S J M Gillani upon his transfer as Additional DGP Railways, J&K, with additional charge as Managing Director, Police Housing Corporation, J&K, was given a warm sendoff.
