Social activist Tasleema Akhter pays tribute to the martyrs of Karbala on the day of Ashura

Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Secretary Jammu and Kashmir and renowned International Human Rights Socio-Politico activist of Rafiabad region of Baramulla district, Tasleema Akhter has paid tribute to Imam Hussain (AS) and his 72 companions who were martyred in Karbala.

In one of her statements, Tasleema said, “Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) stood against the oppressive forces in Karbala and sacrificed his life along with 72 companions for upholding Islamic beliefs, freedom, justice and human rights for the whole humanity.”

Remembering the bravery and principled stand of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), Tasleema said that the great sacrifices given in Karbala on the Day of Ashura will be remembered till the Day of Resurrection.

She said, “The martyrs of Karbala stood for truth, justice, equality, goodness and nobility and the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) is for all groups and communities, which is an example of the right path.”

“Karbala teach us the right path of guidance, dominance of good over evil and statesmanship. Tragedy of Karbala has allegiance towards the whole world irrespective of faiths and religions”, she added.

Pertinently, Tasleema heads newly launched DPAP as the state secretary. As a Social worker, she works for the upliftment  of downtrodden in the valley and Rafiabad constituency in particular.
