The Price That We Pay For Being Blind To The Machinations Of Pakistan

Yet another civilian innocent Kashmiri, an unarmed policeman fell to the bullets of the militants in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district this evening. Head Constable Ali Mohammed, son of Gh Qadir Ganaie, a resident of Hassanpora village in Bijbehara tehsil was fired upon by the militants on January 29.

Pakistan conditions Kashmiri to be a killer and kill the native Kashmiris. The woman who has lost her husband and bread-winner is a Kashmiri. The children who have lost their fathers are Kashmiris. The hearts that are wounded are Kashmiri. The killer will get killed tomorrow in an encounter with the security forces. The mother who will cry for him all her life is a Kashmiri. The grieving father who will stay mute even in the face of this pain is a Kashmiri. His brothers and sisters who will stay grieving are Kashmiris.

The terror apologists in the media doing business on the blood of killed Kashmiris – they too are Kashmiris. Everyday, they are providing the intellectual impetus to separatism and militancy. Where are we Kashmiris taking Kashmir? This is the price that a region pays for being blind to the machinations of Pakistan.
